Real time schedule execution and tracking | Notification of overdue aircraft | Electronic student check-in and instructor authorization | Aircraft\simulator check out and check in (can be interfaced to Talon’s maintenance system RMS) | Automated billing with electronic Hobbs and Tach time trackers | Computerized training lesson completion (pilot log, unit grade sheet, flight time or simulator minimums, and next lesson review)
The posted schedule shows all activities with instructor, student, aircraft type, and current unit of curriculum to be performed. The actual tail# of the aircraft can be assigned when the student has checked in.
The Operations Dispatch area gives audible alerts to the user when an aircraft has not Ramped In by the scheduled due back time.
The instructor Authorizes the activity with his or her PIN before the activity can be performed. In addition, the student checks in, or is marked No-Show and the activity can be No-Show cancelled.
The log book is automatically filled in with information from each flight performed in ETA. Both instructor and student can download their logbook at anytime.
Capability exists to update an expired currency or add a qualification right at dispatch. This allows for correcting missing legitimate information in ETA.
Each flight can have an unlimited number of passengers. Simply add their names to the flight.
Since ETA lives in the cloud, you can ramp out in one city, ramp in at another, remain over night, and ramp out for another leg, all from your internet browser!
ETA can prevent a person from flying if he or she has not read all or a specific FIF document. For example, noise abatement, special airspace restriction or runway maintenance etc.
Flight Risk Assessment Tool
You can view the current live status of your operations in a pie chart based on the current status of each activity.
You can also view the Cancellation Analysis pie chart to gain insight to you overall cancellation reasons and completion rate.
Comprehensive training records of students in current and past courses | Individual lesson grade sheets | Record student test grades | Track student currencies and qualifications including endorsements | Real time student data | Know whether a student is ahead or behind of training plan | Project check ride dates and course completion date | Determine up to the minute cost of completed training and projected costs through course completion | View training information such as last activity
Everything that happens to a student in ETA is recorded and integrated with the course catalogue, training records, scheduling, operations and more!
ETA manages the student's Training Plan. Based on the number of activities per week the student is registered and other factors, the training plan is flowed out all the way to the final activity. This provides valuable insight into the student's progress like never before!
Every activity performed or cancelled appears on the Course Details page for a student's training records. You can see the grade for each activity along with the complete graded sheet. Grade sheet changes can be made while still maintaining the original grade sheet. Both instructor and student must enter their PIN to sign off on a grade sheet change.
ETA has several options for creating your schedule. The Direct Scheduler lets you schedule activities directly to the schedule without going through a schedule request.
Schedule requests are submitted by an instructor and reviewed by a scheduling manager. Based on several factors, the scheduler can decide to submit the activity to the schedule or deny it.
Block scheduling allows you to schedule blocks of time for certain recurring activities in a class.
The new schedule request puts all the important information at your finger tips. Is this student down? Is the student missing any qualifications or currencies?, What and when was this student's last activity?
Has the student read all required flight information files? and much much more!
Training Resources is the module in ETA where you create resource types and actual resources. You can create a resource type, Cessna 172 and then create all your C172 tail numbers under that type. In Training resources you have the following categories: Aircraft, Simulators, Vehicles, Buildings, Rooms, Office Equipment and Miscellaneous.
You can setup an aircraft type to have "Qualification" requirements. This means that a person without this qualification should not be allowed to get on the schedule for that resource type.
Similarly, ETA would help stop a person from flying if they're Medical Currency has expired.
You can define unlimited configurations for a resource. For example, you could setup an aircraft to have the following configurations: GPS, Radio Magnetic Indicator, Approved for Spins, Glass Cockpit, even meals, drinks, in-flight movie or champagne !
ETA is tightly integrated with Talon's Resource Maintenance System. The RMS is used by maintenance technicians, inventory parts managers, and administrative personnel.
You can down an aircraft from ETA - Resources or Squawk at Operations Dispatch - Ramp In
